Sam R. Hobbs, OD
Dr. Hobbs graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell Biology from East Carolina University. He then went on to obtain his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Center, School of Optometry. He furthered his training at the Tuscaloosa Veterans Administration Hospital in Tuscaloosa Alabama, as well as the Atlanta Eye Surgery Group in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the North Carolina Optometric Association as well as the Piedmont Optometry Society.
His practice emphasizes comprehensive eye care, including glasses, contact lenses and the treatment of medical conditions of and relating to the eye. He works closely with his patient's primary care doctors to ensure continuity of care.
His hobbies include acoustic finger style guitar and mountain biking. He is married to Jill Hobbs, who works as a senior audit manager with a local CPA firm here in Charlotte.
